Celebration
These days we at finantic have a few good reasons to celebrate. First of all our systematic trading system Topaz NQ 100 M shows some very exciting performance numbers, the most spectacular being a five-fold increase of capital after less than four years. The other news is a new web page for finantic where we can write about these things.
I lively remember the dark weeks after the century crash end of 2008. We were hit by a 40% drawdown in Topaz' equity curve, all subscribers had left the sinking ship and we had long discussions if we should just stop all our C2 systems. Finally we decided to let Topaz run. After all it is based on psychology, mass psychology which seemed to work robust enough through all the years and fifferent market phases. With hindsight its easy to conlude that it was the right decission. But let the numbers tel their story:

These days Topaz appeared in the top position of collective2's Hot Strategies right now list which is shown on Collective2's front page. We do not know how Matthew ranks system into this list, we are happy to appear in such a prominent position however.

Most looked-at System
Topaz attracts a lot of interest recently and consequently shows up frequently in the top positions of the "Most looked-at" list. There are good reasons why people are interested in Topaz, some of the highlights:
- The Grid shows currently 899 active systems†. Out of these only 16 sytems are older than Topaz. And only 5 of these older systems have a Sharpe ratio above 1.0.
- There are 270 active stock systems. Only 9 stock systems are older than topaz, only one of these has a Sharpe Ratio above 1.0.
- There are just 14 stock systems with an annualized return better than Topaz. Only 6 of these have more than 50 trades. (It is easy to produce a high annualized profit just by chance if there are not many trades)
- The Topaz page enjojed 12000 views, Topaz is tracked by 110 people and 10 Analysts added a note.
- We got a score of 1000 (on a scale from 100 to 1000). There are only two other system vendors on Collective2 with such a high score.
